He was born in Posey County Indiana and was in the Union Army Company A 10th Cavalry. His adult life was spent in southern Illinois. In his military pension application he is in Hope. Was there a soldiers home in Hope? I can not find a reason for him to be living in Bartholomew county. I would appreciate any suggestions in this mystery. Thanks Larry Erwin Newburgh IN
