My great great great grandparents lived in Bartholomew Co., IN. Their names were Eli Ambrose Troutman and Jane (Jain) Sawyers Troutman. My records says she died 27 Aug, 1837 in Bartholomew or Fulton Co., IN. Their son William Franklin Troutman was born 3 Nov 1826 in Columbus, Bartholomew Co. IN. Greetings Anna: According to my set of books on Bartholomew County marriages: Ambrose Troutman married Jain Sawyers on 10 April 1825 It looks like Ambrose remarried within the year after the death of Jain: Ambrose Troutman married Sally Lewis on 11 January 1838 I do not find a marriage for William Franklin Troutman in these books. The marriage of Jain Sawyers to Ambrose Troutman is the only marriage for a person surnamed Sawyers in these books. Other Troutman marriages in Bartholomew County: Amanda Troutman married James Glanton on 21 Dec 1826 (there is another marriage for James Glanton in these books) Alvin H. Troutman married Alice V. Wood on 25 February 1885 his age 26, his parents Milton N. Troutman and Emily Shields her age 23, her parents George Wood and Elizabeth Clare Catharine Troutman married John H. Singer on 22 January 1844 Charles Troutman married Mary Weberlah on 05 January 1854 Delia Troutman married William W. Records on 01 January 1867 Edward Troutman married Catherine (or Catharine) Mary Skelton on 30 September 1902 his age 33, his parents Edward Troutman and Catharine Jones her age 34, her parents George Skelton and Maggie Patrick Edward S.
