This John was, I believe, a nephew to William Beaty, grandfather of both William Truman Beaty and William Tomas Beaty, whom I describe below. Another William T. Beaty living in Bartholomew County....His descendant, John Devroy, posted on the Beaty Project 2000. William Tomas was born in Bartholomew County but migrated with his family to Tipton County in 1851. He was orphaned when he was about 10-11 years old. His father David died in 1859, his mother Emily Akin Beaty in 1861, both in Tipton Co.. This William T. returned to Bartholomew Co., I believe, with his grandfather William Beaty, who reappeared there in 1870 and is found living with one of his sons, Darius Beaty, in Wayne Township.
