My James CARTER was born 17 May 1807, Bartholomew County, Indiana. Jehoda WILSON was born 7 Jan 1810 or 1811 in Kentucky. They were married 3 Jan 1828 in Bartholomew County, Indiana. This information came to me through a cousin's GEDCOM. Sadly he did not supply sources. So my job now is to go out and find the source documents to back up what he gave me. I have found their marriage in the Bartholomew County, Indiana, Marriage Registration Book. If these CARTERs match your CARTERs, please let me know, as I have informationn on one of their children, John CARTER, and his descendants. Also, if related, what you have posted here gives me parents and siblings for James CARTER. Peggy, I imagine you may have a hard time proving the birth of James Carter in Bartholomew Co,IN(1807) since it(Bartholomew Co) wasnt established until 1821. You might want to start your search with Carter and Carter II cemetery in Columbus Township.
