    3. Hello Virginia, John R. Beaty (Bartholomew Co.) was born in KY, according to the 1870 census. Rachael was born in Ohio. John has considerable resources...28,500 in Real Estate, 4500 in Personal Property. That said, the Franklin Co. Probate Records (online at the Franklin Co. Website) shows John R. Beaty leaving an impressive Inventory and Appraisal list at his death. The same name, the fact that Elizabeth Beaty, the widow, had a son under the age of 10 in the 1820 census, and financial resources makes me wonder. My Campbell line was in Franklin Co. same time frame purchased land 1821 in Jackson Twp, Shelby (on the Bartholomew line). Same line that was a good friend of John R. Beaty and also buried at Robert's Chapel. Who knows...just a thought! I'm looking at everything. Trying to track the Campbell line prior to 1817 when they appear on the Tax List Franklin Co. IN. They came from NC, but have been unable to find their trail.
