Hi-- I am curious about the cemetery about a mile from hwy 46 (on the Nashville side). My daughter lives near this small graveyard, and I have walked over there a few times with my grandkids. They still bury there--- some of the markers are quite old. And there are numerious stone crosses marking graves, these crosses have nothing on them. I am used to seeing the ornate metal crosses with German inscriptions and names on them. However these concrete crosses are about 2 ft high, and just plain. Can someone tell me about this cemetery? Is it now perhaps a pauper cemetery? Also, I do have some of my family members who were in the Monroe and Jennings County areas---- Knapp/Goodwin are the surnames. Thanks so much.
