    3. Who were Jahoda Wilson's parents? Do you know anything more about the Wilson's? Please let me know. We think William Wasson (1785-1855) married Nancy (Wilson?), but not positive. If she was a Wilson, I'd love to know who her parents were. I'm thinking that maybe Moses Wilson (1776-1845) was her brother, but no proof of that either. Thanks. Isaiah Son of William & Mary Carter is the one who started or is also a charter member of the Haw Creek Baptist Church in Hope Bartholomew County, Indiana . I have not received the book yet was hoping it would have arrived today since was sent on Monday but not yet. This info comes from Kimberly Ray who did the research for this book. She lives in Indiana. The info I have on Robert & William's (son's of John & Isaiah Carter) I can send to you through email so will need to have your email address so that I can send directly not using these websites, since some of them are still living as well and might not like it published. My email address is jsather@hotmail.com Will wait to hear from you. Jil

Great. My line descends from James CARTER and Jehoda WILSON through their son, John Justis CARTER. John married Nancy Ann BUTNER. They moved to Kansas, Indian Territory (now Oklahoma), and finally settled here in Pierce County Washington. As for sharing the family info, what would you like? I can either post their descendants here. That would exclude the living (except for me) as some may not want their info posted. I could email you privately the information and include the living. At this point I have sporadic documentation on the family. I have collected enough though to trace the family back to Indiana. I too would be interested in the Baptist founders book you mentioned. Knowing they were Baptist is a big help, as nothing I have here so far as indicated a religious preference for the family. I'm saving and printing out these postings and am going to use them as clues for further research. A big thank you to all who have posted here. Peggy Fleischmann Tacoma, Washington

John Carter married Nancy Ann Butner in Bartholomew County, Indiana. They then moved to Kansas for a few years, Indian Territory (now Oklahoma) for a while, and finally settled permanently here in Pierce County, Washington. You mentioned that William Carter, James father, was a charter member of the church. Do you know which church they belonged to? So far none of the documents I have refer to a church affiliation and it would be nice to know. Your postings are well appreciated as they are giving me clues to where to search next for information. Thank you. Peggy Fleischmann Tacoma, Washington
