Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/lh.2ADE/728.1202.1173.1177.1 Message Board Post: In the referenced marriage records, there were three marriages of person named John Ping. None were to Rose, by any name. Also there were no Reddick or Gladden brides named Rose. I think you are will need to look in another county, maybe in another state. Many Ping families lived in Kentucky. In order for another person to help your research, it would be necessary to know some of the proven facts, such as any known names of parents, siblings, children --- with estimated dates and places, which have previously been found.

    3. Mary, Well, not all of us were annoyed. Since I get around 100-150 messages a day I had no idea that anything was going on. If the subject line of a message doesn't interest me then I just delete it. 2. Mary D...
    3. I am so sorry to everyone on the mailing list who have been subjected to the messages from the message board. Since I adopted this mailing list, the message board has been "gateway"ed to the mailing list, in other words, all posts to the board were posted to the list. I am afraid after the posts of the last week, I must disconnect this gateway. I have been off the net for about a week, trying to get a new computer set up and get the data from the old one. When I finally downloaded my mail today, I had 167 message, one from a subscriber asking to be removed from the list. I had already answered it, saying I was sure the quarrel was done and asking if the subscriber would like to stay. Of course, that was before I read all the messages. I just want Dorothy to know I am sorry. I was wrong. If anyone wants to be unsubscribed, I really can't blame you, but bear with me while I get the gateway disconnected and lets see if we can get back to the business at hand. I am going to try to get the gateway taken care of before I go to bed (I'm a day sleeper), even though it is almost two hours past my bedtime. Please stay with the list if you can stand one more day, a couple more hours... I am working to take care of this. 1. [InBartho] Phillippe/Spraker 1845 woven coverlet
    2. Does anyone on the list know who the weaver was that wove coverlets around 1845. My daughter has a black & white woven coverlet that has been passed down in the family. Woven in opposing corners is the date 1845. In the other opposing corners is a school house? It was woven for her gr. gr. gr. grmor, Elizabeth (Spraker) Phillippe. Knowing the name of the weaver would be an interesting sidelight to the family history. Other family members who have come to take pictures of it often asks the question. We have checked books relating to weavers and their coverlets, but have not come up with any clues. Thanks for any help. ~ Lou Lou
