    3. Kim, Clay Township is mostly agricultural land to this day. The only "town" is Petersville. There are several small cemeteries and one larger one--Sandhill Cemetery. I have a copy of a reading of Sandhill cemetery done in 1962 and I found some Ralstons. Alexander Ralston, died 1/14/1852, age 58 years Joseph Ralston, died 4/23/1855, age 22 yr 2 mo 1 da John Ralston died 3/28/1863 age 62 yr 11 mo This is copied exactly as written on the list. Since the names are in alphabetical order, I don't know how the tombstones are placed in relation to each other. No mention of Anna or son Alexander. Hope this will be helpful. Judy Scholtz

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: BRADLEY, BRADY, PING, BULLOCK, COLYER, WHITSON, CROUCH Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/lh.2ADE/2063.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Dear Researchers Errors have been seen in messages, both on this message board, and in various emails received --- concerning the following families with surnames BRADLEY and PING. I will record below *only* information accurate to the best of my knowledge. Elisha BRADLEY married Mary R BRADY (sic, "Brady"). They had four children, including: William N Bradley, born 1849, who married four wives. William PING, Sr, born abt 1772 in Culpeper Co, Bromfield Parish, VA, married on June 28, 1797, Mary "Polly" Bullock, born abt. 1774. They had nine children. Mary's birthplace is unknown. Nancy PING, born October 6, 1803, in Pulaski Co, KY, married William BRADLEY, born December 17, 1794 near Richmond, VA. They had three (known) children, born 1819, 1824, 1833 --- plenty of spaces for other children yet undiscovered. Parents of Nancy Ping are unknown. Richard BRADLEY, born abt. 1770 in VA, married, abt. 1792, to Nancy (maiden name unknown), born abt. 1775 in VA. They had seven children. Four of the seven children, married into the PING family. Have found three "Sarah BRADLEY" individuals, not counting Sary Elizabeth Bradley, died age 6 years. Have found eight "Nancy PING" individuals --- different parents recorded for each one, except "unknown" for the spouse of William Bradley. There is only one with middle initial "J" supplied; four have middle initial "E"; three have "no middle initial". Nancy J PING, born 1838, was daughter of Rebecca COLYER b. abt 1819, and Elijah PING, b. abt 1816 in Pulaski Co, KY. Nancy J PING (one of 5 siblings) married William Whitson on September 30, 1857 in Pulaski Co, KY. Source: "Family Histories, Churches & Schools, Bartholomew Co, IN, 1821- 1920", published 1999 by the Bartholomew County (IN) Genealogical Society. This was still another (#9) named: "Nancy PING" --- born November 9, 1832 in Pulaski Co, KY'; died February 13, 1865; buried in New Bellsville Cemetery, Brown County, married Daniel CROUCH, born abt. 1832; died March 28, 1884 in Brown Co, IN. Nancy Ping's parents are not recorded in above source. Three different "Nancy PING" individuals had brothers named "John PING". Concerning two further "Nancy PING", no information exists in my files for Nancy's siblings --- may/may not have included a "John". Suggestions for further research: 1) Consider that there probably are quite a few errors in the information assembled. Make a fresh start. 2) Obtain documentation of as many as possible Birth, Marriage, Death records. 3) Search US Census images (again, if necessary). Many census images are available online. Larger libraries have subscriptions to www.ancestry.com --- and library patrons may search without obtaining personal subscriptions. And so I take my leave of the PING family. Sorry, but I am unable to reply personally to emails. rls
