Sons, Ephraim, John, William, Allen, Harmon and Noble (Noble being my ggg grandfather). Daughters, Sarah, Shemoleth, Vashti, Matilda, Leah and Sarepta. There may have been other children as there are several grave stones at New Bern Cemetery that appear to indicate they belonged to Ransom and Hannah (1st. wife) but the stones are not very clear and the names are very hard to see/read. However they are next to or very near Hannah's grave. Know this may not help but so far I have not come across the Hiram Davis you noted. There were however many Davis families in that area and that time period. I have not had the time to travel there for any length of time other than go to the cemetery and get a few pictures. I saw your post here and even though it is over three years old, I am hoping you will see this. If your grandfather was Harley Leroy Evans then he was married to my father's second cousin, Ethel Mae (Nugent) Evans. I have the same birthdate and place for him that you do, except for one day's difference. I have November 6, 1898 and you have November 5, 1898. I beleive it is the same person. I have information on his wife's Nugent line if you are interested. I think this would make us some type of cousins probably so many times removed as well. It would be good to hear from you and swap information if you'd like. Tom Nugent
