Hi List, Just thought I would let everyone know. The Allen Co. Death Index only goes to 1920. The index was done by the WPA in the 1930's. Not every death in Allen Co. was reported to the board of health even in the early 1900's, so just because the person is not in the index doesn't mean he or she didn't die in Allen Co. Also for those of you who have wanted a place to post Allen County related obits, you can now post obits on the Allen County Rootsweb Message Boards. Just make sure you have OBITUARY in the classification box. You can also post your surnames on this board. You can access the Allen Co.
