Hi, My great grandparents adopted a girl ( I don't know what year they adopted her)named Mabel (or Maybelle) Riddle. She had their last name of McNabb (at least in the divorce papers). My great grandparents were divorced in 1919. In 1920 Mabel was, as the divorce papers read, "committed to the Orphans Home in Plymouth, Indiana." The Juvenile court of Allen County had something to do with it. Apparently my great grandpa didn't pay child support, and great Grandma couldn't care for her anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can find out more about Mabel and what happened? I don't have a clue! Thank you for any help you may be able to give.
