    2. Karl, Well that was quite nice of you to check on the symbol for me. So does it seem that in the obituaries, like the one I was looking up below, the date given would be the funeral date, rather than a date of death, if the letter f is used before the divider? If the letter d is used as in the majority of the obits, the date given is the date of death?
