Karl, Thanks for suggesting the Allen County Obits Lookup. The first name I entered was a success. In the notes column the message is: f//s of A C Katt. I believe the person searched is the son of A C Katt which would answer the letter s, but what does the f mean? In looking at other names several have the f in a similar position but most have the letter d. Any help? Susie
I have no idea, but I just sent off an email to the library. Will let you know what I find out! I must have missed the address for Obit Look Ups 1841 to 1900. Could someone send it again. I asked the ACPL what the abbreviations stood for, see reply below! The " || " is the divider between two pieces of data. One should read the entry as Amos Katt's funeral (the "f" after the date) was on August 18, 1891. In that funeral announcement, it noted that he was the son of A. C. Kattt ("s of A C Katt"). Curt B. Witcher Manager, Historical Genealogy Department Allen County Public Library P. O.
