This is wonderful. Could you please look for Heinrich Hans believed to have emigrated in 1879 ? He was born in Hannover province in December 1854. I don't know who he was traveling with but would be interested in knowing. It wasn't his wife as they were married in Nebraska in 1883. Thanks. Cheryle Rappe' "Eugene M. Robert, Sorry it's taken so long to answer you, had BIG computer problems. I re-checked the date on the obit: Fort Wayne Journal Gazette 26 Nov 1949. I also re-checked Sloan & Sons Funeral Home records. Gordon Pray b. 3-16-1904 London, Can. d. 11-24-1949. Was the death ctf. a photocopy of the orginial or information typed on a form? If it was typed, may be someone made a error. I checked 1910 Census of Allen Co. IN. There were no Pray's in Allen Co. in 1910. The 1910 Census for IN is not indexed, so I couldn't check other counties. In 1920 there were no Pray's in Allen Co., but there were some in Noble Co., LaGrange Co, Steuben Co. which are close to Allen Co. Also in Jackson Co., Marion Co. Delaware Co., Henry Co. and Morgan Co. If you want, I can forward this info to you. Linda
Hi. I read your message to Shelly about the obit lookup you said you'd do. Is this a volunteer thing, or do you charge a fee? I have many people to lookup in Ft. Wayne and can't really afford to pay a lot of fees. If you are volunteering, could you do an obit lookup for me too? I am looking for William Cyrus Kelker b.Feb. 28, 1859, d.March 13 or 17, 1939. According to cemetery records, he was buried on the 20th, so maybe 17th is the correct date. I am hopeful that he has an obituary. Also, if it is not extra trouble, would it be possible to look up his son, John Orlo Kelker b.1897, d. Dec. 18, 1935. I have no idea why he died young, and thought his obit might say. If you get this message in time and could help me out on this, I'd really appreciate it. If the fee is not too much, I'll try to pay it. Thank you in advance. Karl, Well that was quite nice of you to check on the symbol for me. So does it seem that in the obituaries, like the one I was looking up below, the date given would be the funeral date, rather than a date of death, if the letter f is used before the divider? If the letter d is used as in the majority of the obits, the date given is the date of death?
