She had been seriously ill for two and one-half weeks. She was a member of the Cross United Church of Christ in Berne. She was born in Henry County on Nov. 22, 1906, and was married to Ernest Hofstetter on Dec. 3, 1927. Survivors include the husband; seven children: Carl D., John J., and Calvin E., all of Geneva; Jerry Lee, Bencia, Calif.; twins, Mrs. Paul (Ernesta) Weidler and Mrs. Wilfred (Ernestine) Weidler, both of Fort Wayne; Mrs. Harold (Mary Lou) Miller, Decatur; two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Rogers, Anderson and Mrs. Francis Massey, Anderson; 27 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. One brother preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Yager Funeral Home, Berne, with Rev. Richard Zulauf officiating. Burial will be in the MRE Cemetery.
