She was born in Portland, the daughter of John Sherman and Ida R. Geiger-Hines. On Oct. 3, 1944, she was married to Thurman Ashcraft, who died April 18, 1973. Surviving are one brother, Harold Hines, Punta Gorda, Fla.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Arch (Helen) McFarland, Rainbow Lake, Geneva; a niece, Sandra Hines, West Lake, Ohio; and a nephew, John Hines, Lakewood, Ohio. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. today at the Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home, with Rev. Linwood Doane officiating. Burial was in the Green Park Cemetery.
