HAKES Dorothy P. Hakes, 75, 115 North 11th Street, widow of Harrison D. Hakes, died at 2:47 a.m. today at the Adams County Memorial Hospital, following a lenghty illness. She had been admitted to the hospital a few hours earlier. She was born on Feb. 5, 1901, in Lansing, Mich., the daughter of John and Ethel Schnepp, and was married on June 3, 1922 to Harrison D. Hakes, who died Nov. 30, 1961. Survivors include two sons, Harrison J., Decatur and James, route 2, Barrington Woods; a sister, Mrs. Agnes Walp, Columbus, O.; a brother, John Schnepp, Columbus, O.; a half-brother, Walter Redmond, Vero Beach, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Beverly Sapp, died in 1974. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Zwick Funeral Home, with Rev. Richard Kirk officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery.
