GIANT Clem A. Giant, 81, of route 1, Monroeville, a retired farmer, died at 10:10 a.m. Monday in Parkview Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient a few hours. He was a lifetime resident of the Monroeville area. Surviving are his widow, Meredith; one son, Don E., Monroeville; one daughter, Mrs. John D. McDowell, South Bend; one brother, Elmer Giant, Monroeville; and one sister, Mrs. Teresa Bacon, Maples. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Marquart Funeral Home, Monroeville, and at 10 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where a rosary service will be at 8 p.m. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery, New Haven.
