A homemaker, she was a former Decatur resident. She was born to Emerald and Naomi Maddux/Cousino in Monroe, Michigan on July 10, 1930. She married Benjamin F. Hower, Sr. on July 8, 1950. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1996. Survivors include two sons, Benjamin F. Hower, Jr., Wapakoneta, Ohio; and Carl Hower, Fort Wayne; a daughter, Mrs. James (Faith Marie) Sanmour, Decatur; a sister, Mrs. Hack (Mary) Dutt, New Haven; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Haggard & Armes Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. Visiting hours are 6-8 p.m. today.
