EVELYN ARCHER DIES TUESDAY NIGHT Funeral Services Friday Afternoon Mrs. Evelyn Archer, 91, a native of Decatur and resident of Pleasant Mills for most of her life, died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Gus Smith, Midland, Mich. Mrs. Archer fractured a hip in a fall approximately a year ago, and had been in failing health since that time. Mrs. Archer was a member of the Methodist church at Pleasant Mills. She was born in Decatur, July 12, 1864, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Archbold, and was married to David Archer, June 8, 1882. Her husband died several years ago. In addition to the daughter are two sons: Sherman and Carl Archer, both of Pleasant Mills; 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Two daughters and one son preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Black Funeral Home, the Rev. Harley Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery.
