CAUBLE Catherine A. Cauble, 81, Decatur, died at 12:22 p.m. Thursday in the extended care unit of Adams County Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 15, 1916 in Adams County to Otto D. and Caroline E. Kirchner Bieberich. She married Ralph W. Cauble on April 17, 1938; he died on March 13, 1995. She was a homemaker and also worked at the Fairway Restaurant in Decatur and The Dutch Mill restaurant in Bluffton. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Decatur. Surviving are five daughters: Mrs. Tom (Doris) Fabini, Karen Cauble Ross Baszczak, Mrs. Donald (Cathy) Woodard, and Iris Lang, all of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. James (Maggie) McConnell of Decatur; two sons, Kenneth W. and Jerald L. Cauble, both of Decatur; two brothers, Henry and Carl Bieberich, both of rural Decatur; three sisters, Metha Hilpert, rural Decatur, Mary Worthman, Bronson, Michigan and Della Carpenter, Seattle, Washington; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Deceased are a daughter, Donna K. Schmit, a brother, Oscar Bieberich, two sisters, Amanda Snell and Wahnetta Bieberich and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Zwick-Sefton and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur with burial in Decatur Cemetery. Visitation is 10-11 a.m. Saturday. Preferred memorials are to the Adams County Heart Club or the Donna K. Schmit Memorial Fund at the Carle Cancer Foundation in Urbana, Illinois.
