Rash, 82, of 320 Marshall St., died at 8:50 p.m. Wednesday in Adams County Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Decatur on February 2, 1903 to John and Charlotte Bailey Mayer and married Joseph A. Rash on February 2, 1923; he died on December 12, 1963. She was a housewife and a member of Zion United Church of Christ and its Women's Guild. She was also a member of the Phoebe Bible Class and the American Legion Auxilary. Survivors include two sons -- Lawrence E. "Joe" Rash of route 8 and Carl F. Rash of 520 Grant St.; a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Virginia) Scott of Charlotte, North Carolina; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were two daughters, Charlotte and Evelyn, two sisters, four brothers and a grandson. Her funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Winteregg-Linn and Haggard Funeral Home, with Rev. Lawrence E. Balleine officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home are 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Preferred memorials are gifts to the Zion United Church of Christ Organ Fund.
