Gephart, 86, Decatur, died Tuesday in the nursing center at Woodcrest Retirement Community. She was born Jan. 10, 1920 in Adams County to Dan and Ida Baumgartner Kaehr. She married True J. Gephart on Oct. 24, 1937; he died on Jan. 16, 1992. She was a homemaker who also retired in 1985 after almost 29 years at Decatur Industries. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Decatur and of it's Women's Missionary Society. She also was active in American Red Cross bloodmobile working in Adams County. Surviving are a son Steven D. Gephart of Decatur; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Judith) Speakman of Columbia City; and Mrs. John (Nancy) Hackworth and Mrs. Roger (Charlotte) Spencer, both of Decatur; a brother, Lester Kaehr of Decatur; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Seven brothers and two sisters are deceased. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Haggard and Sefton Funeral Home, with burial in Decatur Cemetery. Visiting hours are until 4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today. Preferred memorials are to the church. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
