He suffered an apparent heart attack on Saturday, Dec. 28, and had been hospitalized since that time. He was a member of Union United Methodist Church, Willshire. Born in Mercer County, O., on July 15, 1915, he was the son of Lawrence W. and Matilda Shank-Jones and was married to Opal Ray on Christmas day, 1937; she died Aug. 21, 1963. He later married Eloise Ketrow Miller on Sept 4, 19_4 (either 1964 or 1984); she survives. Also surviving one son, Donald L., Celina, O.; two daughters, Mrs. Phillip (Carolyn) Shoaf, route 1, Willshire and Mrs. Ferd (Linda Lou) Laux, Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Gus (Linda Diane) Feasel, Willshire; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandsons. Services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Zwick, Boltz & Jahn Funeral Home, Rev. David Chivington officiating. Burial will be in Willshire Cemetery.
