Eileen, I'm glad we were able to help.  I have many Harkless in my files, and would be happy to share if you have some research questions.  Perhaps if we have time, we can compare some families. Karin King Chloe and my dad were first cousins, but I never got to meet her.  She left a hefty legacy of family history in the Decatur Public Library, and I've been through some of it.  I had a chance to contact her last October when we were in Decatur for my brother's 80th birthday, but didn't take the extra time.  After her funeral, my brother told me that she was a pretty private person and might have been hard to see anyway; I know she had no phone.  He also said she attended several Ahr reunions and was very sociable at those get-togethers.  She attended the latest reunion in September, 2009 and appeared in good health.
