GILBERT DIES LAST NIGHT Pryor S. Gilbert, 70, of Decatur route 6, a lifelong resident of Adams County, died of a coronary attack at 11:30 p.m. Friday at the Southview nursing home at Bluffton. He was born in Monroe Township Dec. 7, 1896, a son of Jonas and Viola M. Sheets-Gilbert, and was a retired farm hand. Mr. Gilbert attended the Valley church. Surviving are three daughters, Miss Nina May Gilbert, Mrs. Paul (Beverly) Buckingham, and Mrs. Kenneth (Carolyn) Butcher, all of Decatur; one son, Samuel P. Gilbert of Decatur route 3; 14 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Hazel Burnett of Decatur. One daughter, Betty Jean, is deceased. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Winteregg-Linn funeral home, with Rev. Fuhrman Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Ray cemetery at Monroe.
