While he had been in failing health all winter, from Bright's disease, he had been confined to his bed only two days having experienced an attack of the grip. Mr. Robison was a life-long resident of the county and a resident of this city since 1883. At death he was seventy years, one month and two days old. He was the only son of James and Elizabeth Robison, and was born January 22, 1846. He was engaged in the lumber business in Root townshp, where he erected a sawmill, in 1876, which he conducted until he sold the same in 1883, when he came to this city and became associated with Amos Gillig in the lumber and stone business. At time of death he was engaged in the lumber business, owning a mill in the north part of this city. Mr. Robison was a staunch democrat. In September, 1889, he entered upon his first two years' term as county treasurer, and was re-elected for the succeeding two years, serving four years in all. He also served four years as trustee of Root township during his residence there. He was married in August 1874 to Miss Ellen Rice, a daughter of Pendleton and Frances Rice, who is still living. Of their five children, four are living. They are: William Pendleton, of this city; Jesse David of St. Joe, Mo.; Frances Elizabeth, wife of Forest Elzey, of this city and Calvin Cleveland, of Los Angeles, Cal. Mr. Robison's mother died a few years ago at an advance age. There are two sisters living living - Mrs. Frances McCampbell, living west of the city, and Maria, who has made her home this winter with her brother. Two of his sisters, now deceased, were wives of the late Wilson Lewton. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock from the home and the Rev. D. T. Stephenson of the Methodist church will officiate. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
