Hendricks; age 80; b. 1867; d Apr 4 1948; buried Apr 7, 1948; Sec A-146-12 LOCAL MAN EXPIRES Funeral services will be held at 2:30p.m. on Wednesday from Stones Funeral home for Josiah A. Hendricks, 89, 404 1/2 Madison Street, prominent businessman, who died Sunday morning at Lockwood General Hospital. The Rev. M. C. Beers will officiate, and burial is to be in Greenwood Cemetery. Born Nov. 30, 1867, in Seymour, Ind., he was married on August 2, 1891, in Adams County, Indiana. After coming to Petoskey in 1894, Mr. Hendricks worked for the W. W. Johnson Lumber Company here for a few years before buying it and operating it himself. He later took George T. Zipp into partnership, and sold his interest to Mr. Zipp about 1911, when he went first to Mt. Pleasant and then to Flint to live. In flint Mr. Hendricks was employed for 26 years by the Flint Lumber Company. He returned to Petoskey about three years ago. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical United Brethren Church. Surviving are one son, Harold L. Hendricks, and ond daughter, Miss Fern F.
