Schug, 62, of 856 North Harrison street, Berne, died of a heart attack at 4:15 Tuesday at the Neuenschwander insurance office in that city. A lifelong resident of the Berne area, he had been employed since 18 years of age at Dunbar Furniture until forced to retire because of ill health last Oct. 1. He was born in Monroe township March 12, 1908, a son of William and Clara Durr-Schug, and was married to Bessie Tremp Aug. 26, 1933. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Betty) Zurcher of Monroe; three brothers, Carl and John Schug, both of Berne, and Harry Schug of Port Ritchey, Fla.; two sisters, Miss Mildred and Miss Leona Schug, both of Berne and three grandchildren. Three brothers and one sister are deceased. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Yager funeral home with Rev. Laverne Howard officiating. Burial will be in MRE Cemetery.
