He had served as sexton of the Riverside Cemetery for 18 years. Born in Chattanooga, O., Aug. 15, 1888, he was a son of Michael and Mary Galer-Kuehn, and was married to Nettie Eaken April 21, 1919. Mr. Kuehn, a veteran of World War I, was a member of the First Presbyterian church and the Glen D. Eckhart Post 508 American Legion. Surviving in addition to his wife are the daughter, Mrs. Robert (Helen) Johnson of Decatur; three brothers, Walter Kuehn of Avilla, and Henry and Paul Kuehn, both of Elkhart; six sisters, Mrs. Della Miller of Fort Wayne, Mrs. Marie Weber of Clamath Falls, Ore., Mrs. Frieda Snyder of Nappanee, Mrs. Almeda Kunkle and Mrs. Anna Thebus of Elkhart, and Hulda Rosenbaum of Indianapolis; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A grandson, Jack Lee, was reared in the Kuehn home. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home at Rockford, with Rev. Charles Haddock offociating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, but military rites by the Amercian Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today.
