W. BOLLINGER Decatur Man Dies of Diabetes at Hospital Here This Morning Peter W. Bollinger, 31, died at 9 o'clock this morning, Tuesday, March 5, 1929, at the Adams County Memorial Hospital. Death was due to sugar diabetes, with which he was first stricken six years ago. During the past two years, however, his condition improved and he was believed to be getting along nicely until he was stricken ill Thursday evening. Sunday morning, he was taken to the Adams County Memorial Hospital in a state of coma. He rallied from this, however, Monday morning, and seemed brighter. Early this morning, his condition again grew critical and he lapsed into a coma from which he failed to awaken. Peter W. Bollinger was the son of John D. Bollinger and Mary Ellen Bollinger and was born in Decatur on December 31, 1897. The father preceded him in death seven years ago, but the mother, now Mrs. Abe Bebout, resides at 308 North Fifth street. On June 8, 1920, he united in marriage with Florence Meyers, who, together with three children, Robert aged 8 years, Teddy, aged 6 years, and Patty Rose, aged 3, survive. Two half-brothers, Alva A. and John F. Strait, reside at Middletown, Ohio. One half-sister also preceded him in death. Mr. Bollinger followed the trade of a brick-layer until ill health overtook him six years ago. For the past seven years, he has been employed as operator at the Cort Theater, and since December has also been employed as night clerk at the express office. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic church. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9 o'clock at the St. Mary's Catholic church, the Rev. J. A. Seimetz officiating.
