MEYER, 79, route 1 Monroe, (Salem) died suddenly at his home at 3 p.m. Saturday. He was a retired farmer and a former employee of the Central Soya Co., Mr. MEYER was a lifelong resident of Adams County and a member of the Salem United Methodist Church. He was a Blue Creek Township Trustee from 1948-1956. He was born in Willshire, Ohio, on 12 September 1895, the son of Frank and Alice LAHAMON-MEYER, and was married on 10 January 1917, to Lydia J. STRICKLER, who survives. Surviving in addition to the wife; two daughters, Mrs. Glen (Bonnie) FOOR, route 6, Decatur; Mrs. Harold (Alice) HENSCHEN, route 2, Decatur; one sister, Mrs. Lesta COUNTERMAN, Hoagland; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. One brother and three sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday at the Winteregg-Linn & Haggard Funeral Home, with Rev. Maurice C. GRINDLE officiating.
