GARWOOD Raymond L. Garwood, 53, Van Wert, O., a retired Decatur GE employee, died Tuesday morning at Joint Township Community Hospital, Coldwater, Ohio. Mr. Garwood retired in April of 1977 from GE after 22 years of service. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, vice president of the Paulding Eagles Lodge, vice chairman of the District 16 Eagles, and a member of the Van Wert Moose Lodge and past officer. Survivors include his wife, Connie; two sons, Brent and Tracy, both of Van Wert; two daughters, Dawnda Valentine and Kimberly, both of Van Wert; his father, Harvey, of Van Wert; a brother, Ralph W. Garwood, route 2, Van Wert; two sisters, Mrs. Vernon (Esther) Horther, Van Wert and Mrs. Walter (Alice) Martin, Van Wert; and a granddaughter. Services will be held at 10 a.m. (Ohio time) Friday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, where friends may call today. Memorials are to the Cancer Society or Heart Association.
