Jan 15, 1992 Thelma June Hakes, 73, Missoula, Montana, a native of Decatur, died of kidney failure in a Missoula hospital Saturday. She moved from Indiana to Montana in 1980. She was born on June 21, 1918 in Decatur to Clarence and Cora Brodbeck and married Harold D. Hakes on March 3, 1935. He survives. Among survivors are three daughters, Carolyn Ruble, Monroeville; Connie Clark Johnson, Missoula; and Beth Ann Hakes, Fort Wayne; three sons, Ronald Hakes, New Haven; David A. Hakes, Missoula; and Thomas L. Hakes, Fort Wayne; a brother, Walter "Ike" Brodbeck 1521 W. Monroe St., and a sister, Mildred Gay, 633 Cleveland St. Funeral services were this afternoon in Missoula. There will also be services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Haggard & Armes Funeral Home, Decatur, Rev. Sylvester Martin officiating. Burial will be in Willshire Cemetery, Willshire, Ohio, with pallbearers Kim Ruble, Stuart Clark, Jim Hakes, John Young, Donald Hakes and Tony Ruble. Visiting hours at Haggard & Armes Funeral Home will be 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
