COOK, 65, formerly of 127 south 16th Street, and a former employee of the Adams County Memorial Hospital and the state highway department, died at 4:12 p.m. Monday, at the Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, where he had been a patient since 15 December. He had been in ill health since 1973. He was a veteran of World War II. Born in Adams County on 29 June 1916, he was the son of William and Pearl GAUSE-COOK, and was married 28 November 1948, to Alice Jean Manley; she died 1 September 1965. Survivors include six children, James L. COOK, Fort Wayne; Mrs. Everett Dale (Brenda) CURRIE, Rt 3, Decatur; Daniel and Kenneth COOK, both of Fort Wayne; Kevin COOK, Rt 1, Oakridge Estates, Decatur, Kathy COOK, also of Oakridge Estates; five sisters, Mrs. Hazel Johnson, Decatur, Mrs. Josephine HIRSHEY, Geneva; Mrs. Everett (Rosie) LOUGH, Decatur; Mrs. Betty KIPFER, Decatur; Mrs. Dick (Isabelle) KING, Decatur; eight brothers, Lester, Rt 3, Decatur; Virgil, Wilbur, Dale, Richard and Herbert, all of Rt 7, Decatur, William, Rt 1, Rome City; and Albert C COOK, Decatur; four grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Zwick Bolts & Jahn Funeral Home, with Rev. Sylvester MARTIN, officiating. Burial will be in the Tricker Cemetery, Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today and until time of the service.
