Nussbaum, 74, formerly of Monroe, died at 5:35 p.m. Friday in Swiss Village at Berne. She was born on June 16, 1929, in Decatur to Andrew and Eva Garwood Brewster. She married James H. Nussbaum on December 21, 1947; he died on October 14, 2000. She was a homemaker who also worked at Essen Platz restaurant at Amisville, U. S. A. in Adams County and was a custodian at Monroe Bank, a branch Bank of Geneva, for 18 years. She was a member of Monroe United Methodist Church for many years, and was a longtime choir member. She also was a former member of the Monroe Better Homemakers Club. Surviving are two sons, Jan E Nussbaum of rural Monroe and Jed A Nussbaum of rural Berne; a daughter, Mrs. Brent (Joni M.) Lehman of rural Geneva; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Monroe United Methodist Church, with burial in Ray Cemetery, rural Monroe. Visiting hours are 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, and 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Preferred memorials are to the church or to the donor's choice.
