Lewis Kenneth W. Lewis, 67, Fort Wayne, died Sunday in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on October 5, 1940, to William G. and Frances M. Hayworth Lewis. He married Naomi D. Ladd on August 20, 1959; she died on August 10, 2007. He retired after a 37-year career with the U.S. post offices in Decatur and Grabill, including service as the Grabill postmaster. He served in the U.S. Army for more than 13 years in Korea and Vietnam, retiring as a chief master sergeant. He was a member of American Legion Post 47 in Fort Wayne. Surviving are a son, Kenneth W. Lewis Jr. of Harlan; three daughters, Tammy L. Lewis and Jeannie A. Stevens of New Haven and Tara M. Lewis of Fort Wayne; a brother, William H. Lewis of Hartsville, Tennessee; three half-brothers, Terry D. Parrish of Auburn; Gary G. Parrish of Fort Wayne; and Gary Lewis of Rochester, Indiana; a grandson; two stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. A son, a brother, and two sisters are deceased. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Haggard and Sefton Funeral Home, with burial in Decatur Cemetery, including military graveside rites by the color guard from American Legion Post 43 in Decatur. Visiting hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10-11 a.m. Thursday. Preferred memorials are to the color guard at American Legion Post 43 or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital at Memphis, Tennessee.
