She was born on March 16, 1913 in Belgium to Camiel and Marie Sinneave Colpaert and married Arthur H. Lengerich on February 18, 1936; he died on Nov. 9, 1994. She worked with her husband and son, Fred, as a partner in Lengerich Meats, west of Monroe, for many years. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur, Third Order of St. Francis, Rosary Society, Harvest House, and Women of the Moose. Surviving are a son, Frederick A. Lengerich, rural Monroe; three daughters, Mrs. William (Anna Marie) Kruse, Decatur; Mrs. Lewis (Mary Margaret) Mallott, Collinsville, Illinois; and Mrs. Daniel (Joyce E.) Schnitz, rural Monroe; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A sister, Julia Hess and a grandson are deceased. There will be a prayer service at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday in Zwick-Sefton and Jahn funeral home, Decatur, followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Decatur. Visiting hours are 2-5 and 7-9 Tuesday. There will also be a rosary service at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Preferred memorials are to St. Mary's Parish Improvement Fund or to Caylor-Nickle Home Health Care. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
