The bandits entered the Steele residence and bound Steele and Kipfer together and tied Mrs. Steele to a bed. The men took approximately $17 in cash from their victims and thoroughly ransacked the house, evidently in the belief a large amount of money was hidden in the residence. After ransacking the house, the bandits tore loose the telephone wires. The victims worked for nearly an hour before they were able to loosen their bonds. Both men were described by the victims as being fairly oung, one 5 feet tall and the other 5 feet 10 inches. Both were described as being well dressed, wearing dark blue overcoats and dark hats.
