Zimmerman Graveside services for Helen Maye Williams Zimmerman, 89, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2010, at Resthaven Memorial Park in Texas, under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home. She passed away at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman, Texas, on January 17, 2010. She was born to the late Jesse and Suzanna Ruth (Deam) Williams on July 20, 1920, in Decatur. She was married to Vincent Hanni on July 9, 1939. He preceded her in death on August 3, 1957. She married Gregg Zimmerman on Oct. 12, 1961. He preceded her in death, on Jan. 4, 1996. Helen worked as a clerk at the G. C. Murphy Store in Decatur during the 1950s. She spent the rest of her life as a housewife. She loved k nitting afghans for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed making beaded Christmas ornaments. She was a member of Wolfforth United Methodist Church during 10 years of living in Lubbock, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Donald and Darrel Williams; three sisters, Hilda Jackson (her twin), Sally Sherry, and Melvina Reed; two granddaughters, Roxanne and Stephanie Zimmerman; one great-granddaughter, Sarah Aguilar; and two great-grandsons, Charles Jacob Martin! and Greysen Lang. She is survived by three sons, Melvin Hanni of Greenfield, Indiana; Ernest Hanni of Tom Bean, Texas; and Kenny Zimmerman of Bedford, Indiana; two daughters, Eileen Lawrence of Sundown, Texas and Donna Money of Willshire, Ohio; 25 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and five great-greatgrandchildren.
