"Ham" Ellenberger, 90, Berne, died at 11:45 a.m. Sunday in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, of a heart attack. He was born on April 10, 1905 in Adams County to Amos and Della Flory Ellenberger and married Flossie Calhoun; she died in February 1994. He was a retired farmer and a former antique dealer. Surviving are six sons: Kenneth C. Ellenberger, Sidney, Indiana; Larry and Jerry Ellenberger, both of Bryant; Loren L. Ellenberger, Borden, Indiana; Myron "Mike" Ellenberger, Petroleum and Stanley Ellenberger, Linn Grove; five daughters, Betty Hackett, Warren; Iva Lou White, Hartford City; Arlene Mantle, Fort Wayne; Mrs. Elwood (Carolyn) Rouch, Middlebury, Indiana and Mrs. Melvin (Bonnie) Fear, Flat, Indiana; a half-sister, Gladys Edwards, Fort Wayne; 48 grandchildren; and 68 great-grandchildren. Deceased are a son, Howard Ellenberger; a sister, Leona Striker and three brothers, Jesse, Dale and Merle Ellenberger. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne, with burial in MRE Cemetery, Berne. Visiting hours are today until 9 p.m. and from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Wednesday.
