JOHN HAGGARD DIES NEAR MONROE Funeral For Woman Claimed by Carcinoma is on Sunday Mrs. Mollie Walker Haggard, 61, wife of John Haggard of southwest of Monroe passed away at 1:35 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Death was caused by carcinoma following an extended illness. She was born April 22, 1878, in Wayne County, this state, the daughter of John and Mary Putthoff Walker. Her marriage to John Allen Haggard took place at Shepherd, Mich., on November 4, 1909. Surviving with the husband are the following children: Dorothy and Francis, at home; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Adda Gilbert of Monroe; a step-son, Sam of Decatur. Six step-grandchildren survive as do her parents. Brothers and sisters surviving are: Mrs. John Walker, Brecken Ridge, Mich.; Mrs. Mayme Crumcaugh, St. Louis, Mich.; Mrs. Tillie Hurst, Decatur; Mrs. Leona Stump of Decatur and Irene Walker of Shepherd, Mich. Two sisters preceded. The deceased was a member of the Pleasant Valley church where funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. following a service at the home at 1:30. Officiating will be Rev. E. J. Mills and Rev. Grant Whiteneck. Burial will be in the Ray Cemetery. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
