Born in Decatur, he was an Air Guard veteran and retired from BF Goodrich after 37 years. He loved his family and grandchildren and enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. In 1997, he married Carla in Las Vegas; she survives in Fort Wayne. Also surviving are his mother, Gertrude Hendricks of Decatur; daughters, Brandi (Keith) Martin of Leo and Amanda Hendricks of Fort Wayne; stepdaughter, Janel Jeffrey of Fort Wayne; and stepson, Eric (Chrystal) Clouse of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchid. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Hendricks. Service is 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at the funeral home.
