I don't have "Leo's obit, but do have this family.   I am descended from John's grandparents, John Milton Hammond & Mary Elinore ?, through their daughter Elizabeth Ellen Hammond. Who is your grandmother? ********** I am searching for an obituary for my grandmothers brother, "Leo", who died of gangrene of the bowels in the Decatur hospital sometime between 1927 to 1940.  He was not very old.  He was the son of John and Susie (Gravott) Springer and was born and died in Decatur, Adams county, Indiana.  His name may have been John Leonard Springer or perhaps just Leonard Springer.  I can find no death record for him.  My grandmother remembers his death and his saying to her, "It hurts!" Any help would be most appreciated.
