HAGGARD Prominent Monroe Woman Dies Friday Night After Long Illness Mrs. Effie Mix Haggard, 74, wife of William H. Haggard, and prominent Monroe lady, died last night at 8 o'clock at her home in that town. Death was attributed to complications following an illness of five years. The deceased was born in Auglaize county, Ohio, November 24, 1866. November 21, 1884 she was married to William Haggard. She was a member of the Monroe Friends church. Surviving besides the husband, are the following children: Mrs. E. T. Jones of Decatur, Arthur W. Haggard of Fort Wayne, Jacob of Monroe, Rev. Enos of Clearmont and Harvey of Fort Wayne; six granddchildren and a sister, Mrs. Valeria Morey of Jefferson, Ohio. Three sisters, a brother and a daughter preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home and 2 o'clock at the Monroe Friends church. Burial will be in the Decatur cemetery. Rev. Susie Sproul will officiate, assisted by Rev. R. F. Hart. The body will be removed to the residence this afternoon from the Lobenstein funeral home.
