MANGOLD Mrs. Rachel Mangold Dies This Morning at County Hospital Mrs. Rachel Mangold, 82, prominent Decatur lady and widow of the late Noah Mangold, died this morning at 12:10 o'clock at the Adams County Memorial Hospital. Her death was attributed to complications, following a fractured leg sustained two weeks ago in a fall at her home. Mrs. Mangold was born in Preble Township April 3, 1859, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Weldy. She was married to Noah Mangold on December 2, 1880. He preceded her in death January 17, 1939. She was a devout member of the First Christian Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Glenys Kern, at home and a sister, Mrs. Mary Gault of Marion. Two sons, a daugher, nine brothers and sisters are deceased. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Black funeral home with Rev. Kenneth Timmons, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery. The body was removed to the Black funeral home and it may be viewed there after 7 o'clock this evening unitl time for the services.
