STRAUB Ralph L. Straub, 72, of route 2, Decatur, a lifelong resident of Peterson and a retired Decatur Central Soya Co. employe, died at 5:25 a.m. Sunday at the Adams County Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient since Thursday. He retired from the Soya Co., after 33 years of service and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Decatur Moose Lodge. Born in Kirkland Township on June 28, 1904, he was the son of Albert and Melissa Steele-Straub, and was married on Nov. 7, 1926, to Julia Werling, who survives. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last year. Also surviving are two children, Gale Straub, route 2, Decatur and Mrs. Melvin (Virginia) Klopfleisch, route 2, Decatur; one brother, Glen Straub, Sr., route 2, Decatur; three grandchildren and one great-grandson. Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Zwick Funeral Home, with Rev. Noel Reed officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today. Moose services will be held at 7:30 p.m. today.
