Cause of death was not given in the wire. The deceased was born in Monroe, a son of Van B. and Adeline Hendricks Simcoke. They later moved to Decatur, where Van B. Simcoke was county clerk. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Laura Pritchett Simcoke, a son Richard of St. Louis and a daughter, Mrs. Paul V. Heineman, also of St. Louis. Three sisters survive, including Mr. Kauffman of this city, Mrs. Henry Fuller of Lima, Ohio and Mrs. Frank Smith of LaGrange. Mr. Simcoke taught commercial classes in the Decatur High School and also at North Ward. He had resided in St. Louis for about 30 years where he was engaged in the insurance business. For the past several winters Mr. and Mrs. Simcoke spent several months in California. Mrs. Kauffman, her daughter Kathryn, Mrs. Fuller and Mrs. Smith are awaiting word of funeral arrangements and will leave immediately for St. Louis Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
