Gephart, Sr., 80, Rockford, Ohio, father of two Decatur-area residents, died at 1:30 a.m. today in Adams County Memorial Hospital. He was a patient there the past 3 1/2 weeks. He was born in Rockford on September 6, 1908 to Chauncy and Mary Fleming Gephart and married the former Victoria Springer, who survives. He was a retired employee of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. plant in St. Marys, Ohio and a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Rockford. Other survivors are three sons, Robert L. Gephart, Jr., Decatur; Richard Gephart, Union City, Tennessee; and Randy Gephart, Rockford; four daughters: Mrs Roger (Norma Jean) Hawkins, route 2, Decatur; Mrs. Carl (Sharon) Gangwer, rural Rockford; Mrs. Robert (Karen) Ward, Columbus, Ohio; and Mrs. Rollie (Frances) Miller, rural Willshire, Ohio; 22 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. One daughter, Mary, is deceased. Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, Rev. Ben Foulk officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Visiting hours at the funeral home are 2-9 p.m. Sunday and 9-10:30 a.m. Monday. Preferred memorials are to the Rockford EMS.
